The Fredericton Choral Society is a large, non-auditioning, non-denominational mixed voice community choir based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. We are dedicated to preparing and performing great works of music. We draw our diverse membership of young and old singers from the greater Fredericton area and beyond.

Spring 2015 - Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem
Rehearsals for the Spring semester start Tuesday, January 6th
Venue: St Pauls United Church, Corner York and George Streets, Fredericton. Parking is available on the church property
Start time: registration will start at 6.30, rehearsal at 7.20 .
Normal rehearsal times are 7.20 - 9.20 pm every Tuesday.
Concert date: Saturday April 18th
Venue: Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 536 Northumberland St,Fredericton .
Membership costs:
Individual $40
Family $65
Student $10
We are a non-auditioning community choir, but the ability to read music and hold a part is highly recommended, especially with this work. Anyone wishing to sing with us is welcome.
This is a complex work and requires a commitment above our normal attendance, so please consider committing to at least 80% attendance at rehearsals.
The score that we are using is Peters - we will be singing the Requiem in German. Loan scores will be available,as will copies to purchase at $16.00 each. The Novello score used in 2006 by this choir is compatible, the pagination is different, but rehearsal numbers are the same.
A pre-registration form will be up on this site before Christmas, as will the German and English texts.
